What is a math trail?
A math trail is an activity where people go into their community to reveal examples of mathematics. These activities promote the idea of thinking like a mathematician and appreciating what is in the community.
Math trail activities support the connections, problem solving, and communication strands of the NCTM standards (NCTM 2000). They also support the modeling standard of the Common Core Standards.
